You can’t spell Buffon without a “B”

December 21st, 2008 | By: Matthew | Add Comments

I really don’t even know what that title means or what I’m trying to get a across but its legitimate fact at the very least.

“I think I’ll be back in the New Year. Right now I feel good and I’ve even started training with the other goalkeepers again”

I’m sorry for the lack of posting but I’m sure you all understand. It’s good to hear Buffon is back in training. Juve have been pretty strong but I can’t wait to see Gigi back between the sticks along with the return of Trez. Those are going to be some good times, I hope, though I can’t help but wonder if Buffon will get the starting position right away. Manninger has been pretty strong. He’s slipped up a few times (see previous entry), but overall I’d say he’s been real solid. I mean yeah, Buffon is the #1 but fair is fair, right? Will Gigi have to fight for his spot?

Maybe.
or
Maybe not.
Maybe he’ll just move over to city. hiyo)

Speaking of which, I’ve got to lay off all these new-year transfer rumours. I will admit I’ve been reading the articles but that’s really because the idea of it is pretty far out you know? But seriously, the media needs to calm down. It still gets annoying seeing it everywhere even though I’m a fan of the player.

I probably won’t post until the new year so you all have a safe and happy holidays/new year.

IERI… OGGI… DOMANI… SEMPRE JUVE!!!

Time flies-EDIT-WTF Manninger

By: Matthew | Comments 5 Comments

Sorry for the lack of posts peoples. The “big” stories so far have been. 1) Buffon + apples makes for a good time
2) Manchester City’s # 1 Joe Hart will have to watch out because Buffon is on his way to blah blah blah blah. There have [...]

Buffon: Out for 2-3 months you say?

By: Matthew | Comments 4 Comments

Well that’s no good. According to reliable sources this time, Juventus official website, “an ultrasound scan confirmed the diagnosis of a second-degree lesion” Italy’s doctors: “it will take four weeks to heal. As soon as possible during these four weeks the player will begin physiotherapy coupled with a [...]

Buffon, you jackass

By: Matthew | Comments 6 Comments

I only say that because i’m angry. I didn’t mean it, you’re a good guy. But the fact still remains that he’s out for about 3 weeks according to reports. It’s not even his strained muscle that kept him out for the past week and a bit, It’s [...]

Injury is old news but I’m going to write about it anyway.

By: Matthew | Comments 1 Comment

So suck it. Buffon is out for 10 days, at least that’s what were hoping, after suffering an muscular injury relatively early in the game against Cagliari. It sucks to hear but Gigi himself is confident in both his recovery and Alex Manninger’s ability to keep balls out [...]

Still #1

By: Matthew | Comments 2 Comments

I’m glad Italy and Gigi ended up obtaining beautiful nilness against Georgia. It was well deserved after the Cyprus match, at least for Buffon. Anyway, I’ve got to run out and I just felt like posting this video. It’s from the Cyprus match it’s focus is on Buffon and Di Natale. If you missed the match [...]

Question answered, sort of.

By: Matthew | Comments 10 Comments

This is every where but it doesn’t matter. Not too long ago, Roberto, over at the Juve offside, left a comment wondering how much Buffon would be worth in the open market. Well we now at least have an idea of how much he is worth to Manchester [...]

Which keeper(s) do you admire?

By: Matthew | Comments 11 Comments

That last post was half-assed and I am sorry for that. That being said let’s get into a more open discussion. Within professional football, I guess including the MLS, which keeper(s) do you truly find to be inspiring or at least motivating in the sense that when you see them between the pipes you feel the [...]

Keeper of the year 2008?

By: Matthew | Comments 3 Comments

A keeper can only do so much for his team and we are aware of Buffon’s ability. Whether you argue against him or for him I think you have to be pretty daft to say he’s not amazing. I’m very curious though, to see if he will be able to retain his IFFHS keeper of [...]

Yes Buffon, you tell them.

By: Matthew | Comments 7 Comments

Thanks for the warm welcome people, we’ve got a coalition of Juventus fans here at the offside. Pretty awesome. Buffon. The man is confident and has spirit. He told goal.com, that he believes The Bianconeri can do it this CL. With all the fans behind them he’s confident that it will only aide in their quest [...]
